Principal Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop embedded electronics for mobile vehicular diagnostics and prognostics applications. More specifically,  position will lead hardware development for new embedded control module to include debugging hardware features such as CAN (Controller Area Network), J1708, RS232, RS422, RS485, and other vehicular and networking interfaces.  Moreover positions will lead all aspects of electronic development efforts, including the complete requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of features and applications. Experience in electronics design utilizing GPS, wireless communications (802.11, Cellular, satellite), vehicle networks (CAN, J1708, SCI, J1850, etc), networking communications (RS232, RS422, RS485), and sensors (Analog, digital) is required.

Qualifications

BSEE required.  PE preferred.  Extensive experience with both commercial automotive and military design considerations is a firm requirement. Experience with vehicle diagnostic networks, wireless communications and GPS required. 10-15 years of electrical engineering experience required. Ability to work cooperatively with others and to work under pressure of deadlines and customer requirements required.  Ability to travel by air and/or motor vehicle as needed required.
